On Friday, the track team traveled to River Valley for their invitational. The guys' and girls' teams gave a good effort and ran hard through cold and rainy weather. The boys' team got second place at the invitational. Some notable things about the meet: Elijah Marlowe got first place in the open 100 with a new personal record of 11.6, Jovany Raya took first place in discus, and the boys' 4x200 team took first place at the invitational. D.Q. got a new personal record of 56.1. Dilan Vargas got a new personal record of 12.19. In the 2-mile, Jacob Daniel got a new personal record of 13.10, dropping 21 seconds from his time. Kevin Vargas got a new personal record of 13.12, dropping 33 seconds from his time. Our girls' 4x100 team got a new personal record of 57.92. They also got a new personal record in the 4x200 of 2.02. The team travels back to River Valley this Wednesday for their third conference race. Good luck Beavers!

The Lady Beavers played an excellent game this weekend against White Pigeon. Braelin Whitehead's pitching was fantastic. The Beavers' defense was outstanding. Braelin, Cassidy, Jocelyn, and Mady made some fantastic catches. The Ladies got the bats going with Arianna, Monica, Jocelyn, Cassidy, Braelin, and Alyvia hitting some big doubles. The ladies lost a great game due to time running out. The score was 8-7. Great game, ladies. Go Beavers!

We loved meeting and greeting new students and families last night at our Preschool/Kindergarten Round Up! Third graders conducted two different labs in their most recent CKLA unit on light and sound. Students tested how light reacts to various surfaces and then learned how the distance between an object and a light source affects shadow size. Go Beavers!

Fourth graders had a poetry reading this week and did an amazing job! As they read and discussed their chosen poems, they classified them together. Go Beavers!

Yesterday was National School Bus Driver Day and today was Administrative Assistance Day...we are so thankful for both of these amazing groups whose hard work and dedication cannot be matched! Go Beavers!

We celebrated Earth Day this week with "Paperless Day!" Students and teachers found innovative ways to practice learning while building awareness about taking care of the planet. We also enjoyed doing some clean up around the campus! Go Beavers!
