This week is National School Counselor Appreciation Week and we are so thankful for the chance to celebrate Lybrook's School Counselor/Dean of Students - Matt Cook!
Mr. Cook joined the Lybrook Family last year and what an impact he's made! Mr. Cook spends time teaching Social Emotional lessons to students, he works with small groups to help develop friendship and self regulation skills, and meets with students one-on-one to support them in a variety of ways.
Mr. Cook has a wife and two kids who he loves spending time with. Mr. Cook loves everything about baseball and he loves to fish!
Mr. Cook is a BUILDER of systems - to support every student at Lybrook. He helps to make Lybrook a place where everyone feels like they BELONG - and he BELIEVES the very best of every student and adult that he meets!
Thank you thank you, Mr. Cook for all that you do for us!
Go Beavers!

This week, we proudly celebrate National School Counselor Appreciation Week and the incredible impact our school counselors have every single day. Our counselors are listeners, advocates, problem-solvers, and champions for students—supporting academic growth, social-emotional well-being, and post-secondary readiness with compassion and care. They help students navigate challenges, celebrate successes, and see their own potential more clearly. Thank you for the relationships you build, the calm you bring, and the countless ways you support students, families, and staff. We are so grateful for you! 💙 # Beavers BUILD, BELONG & BELIEVE

Today, we'd like to specifically highlight our MSHS Counselor, Jonathan Schultz. Mr. Schultz joined the district in 2016, so this year marks his 10th school year at Eau Claire Public Schools! In his free time, Mr. Schultz enjoys reading (books/comic books), playing video games, eating good food (mainly pizza), watching television/movies, and spending time with his family. When asked what his favorite thing is about serving in our district, here's what he said: "My favorite thing about working in Eau Claire is our students: Building relationships, watching them learn and grow, and supporting them in accomplishing their goals." Thank you for all you do, Mr. Schultz ... we appreciate you!
