E3 – Expanding, Enhancing Emotional Health
The new mental health program at the Eau Claire Middle/High School is part of a grant-funded program that is available for enrolled students up to the age of 21. Through a partnership with InterCare, our program employs a full-time, licensed mental health counselor to meet student needs at the Middle/High School. Since 2004, the State of Michigan has offered a free program to stop adult advertisements from reaching our children’s e-mail, mobile phones (text messaging), and instant messenger IDs.
The Michigan Child Protection Registry, administered by Michigan’s Secretary of State, allows Michigan schools and families to protect their students from receiving advertisements from tobacco, gambling, pornography, alcohol and marijuana companies. Parents can register themselves and their children’s information by going to www.ProtectMiChild.com.
